  • Distance: Whether the move is local, national or international.

  • Volume/Weight of items: The total quantity of goods being transported.

  • Additional services: Such as packing, storage, handling of special items and insurance cover. Every move is unique, so we provide customized quotes based on your specific requirements.

To prepare for your move, consider the following steps:

  • Organize: Sort through your belongings and decide what to keep, sell, donate or throw away.

  • Document inventory: Make a detailed list of the objects you are moving for insurance purposes and to help with unpacking.

  • Book in advance: Book your moving services as far in advance as possible to guarantee availability.

  • Overview: Moving can be unpredictable and, despite all precautions, damage or loss can occur. Understanding your insurance options is key to protecting your belongings. Invictus Relocation Services offers various insurance and protection plans adapted to different needs and risk levels.
  • Total value protection: This is the most comprehensive plan. It covers the repair, replacement or reimbursement of any items damaged or lost during the move at their full current market value.

  • Low value protection: Often included at no extra cost, this cover offers minimal protection based on the weight of the item (e.g. EUR 0.0 per item). It is less comprehensive than full value protection.

  • Third party insurance: For items of extraordinary value, such as works of art, antiques or collectables, we recommend that you consider third-party insurance to cover the full value of these items.
  • Standard coverage: Includes furniture, boxes, appliances and other goods.

  • Special items: High-value items such as jewelry, fine art and heirlooms may require additional documentation and third-party insurance.

  • Exclusions: Typical policies do not cover items packed by the owner or certain natural disasters. Check your policy details for specific exclusions.
  • Immediate inspection: Upon delivery, inspect your items for damage or missing items.
  • Documentation: If there is damage, document it with photographs and detailed notes.
